Season IX: Chelcea Dressler-Crowley + Kirsten Dressler-Wilson, vice presidents, Messermeister Premium Kitchen Knives, Ojai, CA

Chelcea Dressler-Crowley and Kirsten Dressler-Wilson are sisters who, along with their mother Debra Dressler, own and operate Messermeister Knives in Ojai, California. The company was founded in 1981 by their father, who steadily built the business until his untimely death in 2002. Kirsten and Chelcea stepped up to help their mother, and today, they’ve grown the Messermeister brand into one of the most respected in the kitchenware industry. Chelcea and Kirsten describe the Messermeister forging process, how they’re one of the few remaining companies in the world to produce hot-drop, hammer-forged knives the traditional way. They also talk a bit about what it’s like to be a woman-owned company working in the knife business. Here are sisters Kirsten Dressler-Wilson and Chelcea Dressler-Crowley.
