Season I: Alyx Gille, chef and caterer at Cooking Good Food, San Luis Obispo, CA

Chef Alyx Gille knows what she thinks and she’s not afraid to say it. In other words, she makes for a great interview. I talked with her about living in See Canyon, working in Los Osos, cooking for 10 years in Europe, the benefits and pitfalls of attending culinary school, baking with weed (yes weed), and the trials of both having a boss and being the boss. Currently, Alyx describes herself as a caterer who sells at farmer’s markets and pops up here and there. You’ve likely seen her Good Tides tent at the Saturday San Luis Obispo or Monday Baywood farmer’s market.
